Wallace Seymour National Gallery Tour
A special exclusive for customers of Choosing Keeping, Rebecca Wallace and Pip Seymour (the brilliant artists behind Wallace Seymour Fine Art Products) will be sharing part of their vast catalogue of pigment knowledge in a tour of the National Gallery, just down the road from our Covent Garden shop. The tour will look at pigments throughout art history, examining their use in paintings by Giotto, Titian, Watteau, Monet and more. Priming grounds, mediums and materials used will also be discussed, giving attendees insight into the pigments themselves and also how to use them to greatest effect.
The tour will run for two hours at the three following times, each with ten available slots:
- Wednesday, 8 July, 2.00 p.m.
- Thursday, 9 July, 2.00 p.m.
- Friday, 10 July, 6.30 p.m.
Tickets are non refundable except in the very unlikely case that the tour is cancelled or rescheduled.
Pip and Rebecca have collaborated with Choosing to create an oil paint set of nine pigments highlighted in the tour and found especially in Jean-Antoine Watteau’s The Scale of Love. The set is available to purchase separately – at a significant discount for attendees after the tour. Please note that the set is not included in the ticket price.
